Chant and Be Happy

A year-long documentary photography study of Wellington’s Hare Krishna communities

Over the course of a year, I immersed myself in the Hare Krishna communities of Wellington, capturing the rhythm of their daily practices, devotion, and gatherings through documentary photography. This project, Chant and Be Happy, explored themes of spirituality, community, and joy, offering an intimate glimpse into the lives of those dedicated to this path. Through natural light, candid moments, and a deep respect for the people and traditions I documented, the series reflects the essence of devotion and the vibrancy of faith in everyday life.
