Into Sight, Into Mind
Award-winning publication design exploring waste and perception
Into Sight, Into Mind is a book designed to challenge the way we perceive and interact with waste. Using layered pages, transparency, and a carefully considered visual narrative, the publication mirrors the way rubbish accumulates, disappears from view, and continues to impact the environment. The tactile experience encourages readers to engage with the hidden realities of waste systems, making the unseen visible.
This project, created as part of my Post Graduate Diploma research at Massey University, won a Best Award for its innovative approach to visual storytelling. It demonstrates how design can shift perspectives, provoke thought, and inspire more conscious engagement with the world around us.
